The service uses standard mount targets (included at no extra charge, up to two per availability domain by default) for typical workloads, and optional High Performance Mount Targets (HPMT) for throughput-intensive needs, scaling in fixed tiers of 20, 40, or 80 Gbps with matching bundled capacity. Storage is billed purely on actual GB consumed — no pre-allocation required — and includes unlimited snapshots at the same per-GB rate, plus encryption at rest by default.
